What is a Dementia Friendly Organisation?
Over 830,000 people in the UK have a diagnosis of dementia with many more undiagnosed but living with the condition. It is estimated that 1 in 3 of us care for or know someone living with dementia.
Why Become a Dementia Friendly Organisation?
There is no doubt it is in the interest of all organisations to become dementia friendly in order to support their customers and employees who are most likely affected by the disease. There is a real case for organisations to become dementia friendly including improving productivity, retention, reputation, and compliance with Equality Legislation. The process is guaranteed to enhance your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) strategy and create opportunities in a way that enables your organisation to really give back to your local community. Our support can also extend your CSR portfolio by matching your needs with one of our current dementia charitable/community projects and partners. This will create fulfilling actions and volunteering opportunities that bring significant benefits to staff, customers and the community as a whole.
